Nationally, the arts and culture industry generated $166.3 billion of economic activity during 2015$63.8 billion by the nation’s nonprofit arts and culture organizations in addition to $102.5 billion in event-related expenditures by their audiences. This economic activity supports 4.6 million full-time jobs. The industry also generates $27.5 billion in revenue to local, state, and federal governments every year—a yield well beyond their collective $5 billion in arts allocations. By every measure, the numbers are impressive.  (click here to learn more about the findings) https://www.americansforthearts.org/by-program/reports-and-data/research-studies-publications/arts-economic-prosperity-5/learn/national-findings
