Arts Council at Porchfest Music & Art Festival!
The Arts Council is thrilled to be a part of PORCHFEST 2015!
Visit our booth on Saturday, June 20th, from 4 to 8pm in front of the Westhaven Clubhouse at 1001 Westhaven Blvd, Franklin. PORCHFEST Music & Arts festival celebrates a wide variety of musicians and artists, bringing people together to enjoy music, art, and food throughout the streets of the community. Porches become stages, yards become music venues and boulevards become art galleries for this one afternoon in June.
At the ACWC booth, kids will be able to design colossal cardboard box creations. Using art to develop kids’ love of play, the Arts Council will provide the boxes, tape and paints and your child brings their imaginations – building castles, tunnels or other “out of the box” ideas at the booth. The cardboard box creations are a collaborative effort so kids will use their sharing and teamwork skills as well as their engineering, design and architecture artistry.
